Karlea was also selected as an award winner for the National Young Arts Foundation.
Karlea is still making great strides. She is currently attending Berklee College of Music and was recently chosen as one of 5 vocalists for Berklee’s Five-Week Summer Program.
Words of advice from Karlea… “My biggest piece of advice to a high school student is to be the best that you can be and then some. Don’t compete with others. Learn to compete with yourself and that will take you further than worrying about what the next person is doing! At the end of the day, your success is not measured by how you compare to someone else, but by what you did with your spare time, how you reacted to your mistakes, and how hard you worked for yourself!”
